A 3-part lecture series will be presented by Foley Schuler from Blue Lake Public Radio 90.3 classical music station on the last Tuesdays of January, February, and March at the Nuveen Community Center for the Arts - 8697 Ferry St, Montague. Foley's warm, highly interesting and intellectual, plus witty style will be sure to capture and intrigue those interested in art, literature, and culture.
Based on his own travels around the world, radio host, writer and raconteur Foley Schuler will conjure through spoken word and image some of the world's most beautiful and enigmatic cities--cities that exist not only as points on the map, but that live in the world's imagination. Glimpsed through the prism of art, music, and literature, this unconventional travelogue will make Joyce's Dublin, Kafka's Prague, Orhan Pamuk's Istanbul, as well as the St. Petersburg of the great Russian poets (to name a few), all your own.
Give your mind a much-needed vacation this winter at the Arts Council of White Lake. Dates for this series are January 31, February 28, and March 27, all from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at the Nuveen, 8695 Ferry St. Free tickets are required for these limited-seating events. Complimentary beverages included. Tickets are available at the Arts Council of White Lake office, 8695 Ferry St., (231-893-2524) and the Book Nook and Java Shop, 8726 Ferry St, (231-894-5333).
