Montague – The White Lake Junior Strings and the newly formed program for Oceana County, "It's a String Thing", will hold their Winter/Spring Registration on Monday, January 9, 2012. Oceana County registration is from 5 – 6 p.m. at the Hart Middle School and the White Lake Registration is from 7 – 8 p.m. at the Arts Council of White Lake office, located at 8695 Ferry St. in Montague.
These beginning-intermediate string programs are open to students from grade 3 through high school who wish to study violin. Classes are stream-lined to a once a week class that runs on a three week rotation incorporating two semi-private lessons and then a group class.
White Lake classes will be held on Mondays after school starting January 16 at the United Methodist Church of Whitehall. Oceana classes will be held on Thursdays after school starting January 19 at Hart Middle School, culminating with a combined Spring Recital May 21, 2012.
